For admin and IT: approve a connection
Work through the one-page review sheet before any source or agent connects.
One scoped connection, between the AI tool one team already uses and your team's copy: a separate copy that holds only that team's material, kept apart by architecture, not by policy. Before anything connects, IT gets a one-page review sheet: what connects to what; what it may read and write; what it may send, and where; which credentials are issued and how they are revoked; where the copy runs, who operates it and how people sign in, as agreed with you; who can switch it off at any point and what stops; and the end date, the closing review and what is kept afterwards. The connection is authenticated and scoped to that copy. Those technical details go to your IT team on the sheet; they are not published on this site, so ask the team for the sheet.
Before you start
The one-page review sheet for one scoped connection, between the AI tool one team already uses and that team's copy.
Steps
- Ask the team for the review sheet. It is written for one scoped connection, before anything connects.
- Check what connects to what, and what it may read and write.
- Check what it may send, and where.
- Check which credentials are issued, and how they are revoked.
- Check where the copy runs and who runs it. Deployment options are not published here; the sheet names them for your case.
- Check how to switch it off and when the trial ends.
- Record your decision, with your name, the date and any conditions.
- After it connects, check it does only what the sheet says. Including that the off switch works.
What you have at the end
One reviewed connection, every point written down before anything connected, and a check that it matches the sheet.
