# Tenant APIs and tools

> Authenticated, tenant-scoped tools exist for customer work. They are not published here.

**Is the public MCP endpoint the same as the platform's tenant API?**

No. The public endpoint at https://octo.ad/mcp has one tool, ask_octopus, and answers questions about OCTOPUS from public material; it exposes no customer data and no internal graph. Customer knowledge is reached through authenticated, tenant-scoped connections. Those tools are not published here and are shared under early access.

The authenticated tool surface is shared under early access. To ask for it, ask the concierge (the `ask_octopus` tool or the chat on octo.ad) or leave your work email on the early-access form at [octo.ad](https://octo.ad/); the team follows up.
